Project Update - Community Event on Tuesday 2nd April

Balfron Community Council and Stirling Council are holding a Community Drop-In Event as part of the Balfron Active Places project on Tuesday 2nd April 2019, 3pm to 8pm, McLintock Hall (Lower Hall).

As we outlined in the recently distributed newsletter and on this website, the project programme was to begin with the development of an Active Travel Plan for the whole village (Part 1 of the project). Due to a recent change in Sustrans funding application procedure, the programme will alter slightly. From now till the end of April we will instead focus on developing detailed designs for The Clachan and Printer’s Row. This will allow the project to apply for potential construction funding from Sustrans for these two areas, which are important gateways at the north and south of the village. The detailed design proposals for The Clachan and Printer’s Row will be on display at the community event on Tuesday 2nd April, McLintock Hall (Lower Hall), from 3pm to 8pm. This will be an opportunity to discuss the proposals and leave feedback with the design team.

If you are unable to attend the event, all the information will also be available on the project website to view and leave feedback at:
